Heron Hobos

This is the Woodard Bay Conservation Area just down the road from us.  When I took the picture I only saw the one heron at the front, I had no clue there were so many herons hanging out until I blew it up.  This is an abandoned railroad trestle which is home to a colony of Yuma & Little Brown Bats.  They travel to Capitol Lake for feeding, a 16-20 mile round trip, apparently the longest commute for bats in the U.S.    Here's the full trestle.
