Heart of Oak

We are lucky enough to have a oak tree in our garden and at the moment it is glorious with the leaves small and fresh so there is plenty of space to see the sky through its branches. I often wish I could be lifted up into its twiggy birdy world. Today I could hear a bird in its branches which I thought might be a woodpecker but although its location seemed to change I didn't catch a glimpse.
