Contested

Today's single-digit temps and howling winds drove us indoors again. This time, we went down memory lane and popped in to what is now one of the East Coast's largest volleyball tournaments, the Capitol Hill Classic.

It was started nine years ago by the club team where our daughter played at the time and, in its first year, had about 100 teams participating. I remember spending several evenings in a row, outlining and then setting up courts... This President's day weekend, it was home to over 35,000 female players from 900 teams (through high school) at the DC convention center.
