Santorum (and Blip-itics)

Yep, a Rick Santorum for President sign still up out in the middle of nowhere. You may know what was once the top google search of the word santorum. If not, check it out here. You'll be amused (or grossed out), I think.

I'd say at least ninety-five percent of the people on blip describe their daily lives in their journal each day. Those who've looked at any of my blips have probably noticed that I don't do that. I don't generally give an accounting of what my day was like. I just stick to the blip.

Let me tell you why I rarely talk about my daily life.

There are two things that people never discuss in mixed company because they don't know how others will react and you don't want to drive away friends. Those two things are religion and politics. Well, my life, at least 80% of the day, is engulfed in politics. It's hard to separate me from it.

I am president of a woman's Democratic club, I am the Acting Chair of a Legislative District Democratic Committee, I am a Precinct Committee Person, a representative to the Pima County Democratic Party Executive Committee and overall political junkie.

I engage in a liberal, a debate and a geopolitical blog every day. I record (and try to find the time to watch) three liberal news/interview shows every night.The vast majority of my incoming and outgoing emails have something to do with politics.

In other words, if I'm not at a doctors appointment, visiting with my mom, shopping for food or out trying to catch a blip, I'm either in a political meeting or on the computer doing something political.

I don't have any children or a husband or kids or grandkids or a pet to take cute photos. I don't cycle or run or even walk much. Especially for at least six months of the year.

So I don't have much left to you to talk about...except what I blip.

I think you get to know people better and become stronger and closer by sharing your lives, but as you can see, sharing my life on blip would not be what you, as a person who follows or even casually looks at my blips, would be interested in.

I don't feel like I've made personal connections with people, that I've gotten to know you, because you share, but that you've not gotten to know me.

Well, here it is, all laid out at one time. Probably only to be revealed in tiny little remarks here and there such as, "I have a meeting tonight." I hope you'll stick with me despite of, or because of, my politics.

I would like you to know me and why I do what i do and my passion. You've seen my enthusiasm, passion and sometimes a whiff of humor in my blips. I guess I'd like you to know that my life is full of passion and commitment.

I guess I can still talk about the weather and my health :-)
It's HOT, very windy and dry.
Got my MRI back. Arthritis and bone spur in shoulder joint.
Fourth injection. Next might be a "simple" surgery.
