General Assembly

I managed to get to the public gallery at the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland this morning. I've been watching and listening to GA this week via the web cast, so it seemed perfectly usual to be there seeing the people I've seen all week, but this time in the flesh.

One person who has not been there all week spoke this morning, Archbishop Rowan Williams. He spoke very well indeed, as someone later commented to me, "there was not one wasted word". And he had the most wonderful voice too - he had the Assembly spellbound.

Back on Friday to be "presented" as a new minister to the Moderator.
