L. A. Traffic
Everything you have heard about it is true. In order to get from one place to another, one must double or triple the amount of time needed to travel just a few miles. It doesn't seem to matter what time of day, there is always automobile traffic.
The waterways are congested too, but this is rather unusual. The longshoreman are currently on strike and many container ships are unable to deliver their cargo into the Ports of L.A. and Long Beach. They sit and they wait, and have been for weeks. I was quite fascinated by this when I first saw it reported on the news and so went looking for a shot. This was taken in Huntington Beach, about 20 miles south, just before sunset.
There are fears that if this situation isn't resolved soon, it will have a very negative impact on our economy.
