Strassenfastnacht in KL

Quick stop at the Schillerplatz after work to see how Kaiserslautern is celebrating its Strassenfastnacht ("street carnival"). The crowd seemed happy with what was offered.
Only a few quick blips and I went home.
My turn in celebrating (hopefully) tomorrow afternoon at the parade in Ramstein.

PS. As it is Rose Monday today I'd like to add that I'm a real Rose Monday girl - born on a Rose Monday. If you live in an area where Fastnacht or Fasching is celebrated, that a real big thing. 50 years ago a very famous song about being born on a Rose Monday was performed by Margit Sponheimer, which everybody until today still knows. Here is her performance of it from 1992.

PPS. She was performing the very same song last Friday in the very same TV show. Only a few year older, but still the same song and spreading the same joy with it.
