Thomas Hardy

As we are in Hardy country I thought I'd try to re-read the 'Return of the Native'. This photo reminds me of the opening scene in the book where he describes Egdon Heath.......'The obscurity in the air and the obscurity in the land closed together in a black fraternisation towards which each advanced half way'.  Cool description me thinks.... :)
