Near Skipton

I left Liverpool this morning and decided to take a rather strange journey home so I could see some countryside. The weather never really reciprocated and though there was occasional blue sky it never sustained itself. But I managed to go through Skipton, then Ilkley where I treated myself to tea and a meal at Betty's Tearoom. Then my SAT NAV took me though Pool and towards Wetherby and although it took longer I was in no rush and enjoyed the relaxed tempo.

Briefly spoke to my Mum tonight who has returned to her flat and I shall go down tomorrow to see if she is settled. She sounded fine so a good start I hope.
