Mono Monday :: Bridge ::MM55

Thanks to JoanneinOz for hosting this weeks Mono Monday challenge, which has the theme Bridge.

I had planned to go into Leicester after work to photograph King Richard III Bridge, but the heavy rain as I left work out paid to that idea. Perhaps another day.

So what could I blip instead? I remember seeing a bridge on a £1 coin that I had a couple of days ago, so I rooted through my pockets and yes I had a coin with a picture of the Gateshead Millennium Bridge which was issued in 2007. I have walked across this bridge, and I think it is a pretty impressive feat of engineering.
