Rainy day

I love to hear from my daughter on skype. She's on surgical ward rotation and has chosen her case study to present next week to the examiner. She has also scrubbed in on an operation to amputate a leg.
Our son has received an offer to study at Imperial College to study Advanced chemical engineering. It's a fantastic honour to be accepted but Guernsey is overseas and the fees are an eye watering £27,100 instead of £10,000. No student loan is available for post graduate study. In this day and age when retirement is close to 70, it is stupid not to encourage enthusiasm for study, but at what cost?
