Forest in the Rain

I love wandering through woodland in any weather but my favourite is when it's misty closely followed by  rain.

 This morning it was pouring down but armed with an umbrella and the weather resistant Olympus spent a satisfying hour in some magical light.

 With running water and clay footpaths underfoot to was quite a balancing act with brolly in one hand and camera in the other but I managed to stay on my feet. Another advantage of rain is that it keeps all but a few hardy dog walkers away leaving the forest peaceful and empty.
