Bracket Fungi

My heart goes out to the folks back home in New England suffering with the cold and snow.
Certainly a bit too much of a good thing even for the skiers and snowboarders.
Our western Oregon weather has us thinking about our community garden space.
While assessing what we might do in our plot this season, I noticed a bit of bracket fungi along a walkway.

It brought to my mind a chocolate caramel confection of some sort.
