Redemption

I have returned to the sculpture begun before I was asked to decorate another dog angel bowl. It needed returning to, and I have had little energy for anything else. I don't feel ready to photograph the new sculpture, so I decided to photograph a very old sculpture. She was done when I was struggling with the teaching of Airth...desperately needing a break, but continuing the dance classes six days a week. I was tired and heavy feeling and the sculpture seemed to reflect that. It has lived outside for years collecting grime. 
Recently, I sanded the surface dirt off and re-fired her. It seems somehow redemptive, putting her through the fire to cleanse her of the past.
