Otama Beach

What a pleasant day here in Whitianga. We took the little ferry over to the other side of the inlet and had a fine coffee before M set off for a walk, trying to keep fit for the Milford track.

I pottered about and bought a pair of shorts.

After M got back we went out to one of our fav beaches, Otama. A lovely stretch of beach up the peninsula and along one of NZ's gravel roads. Just look at that blue sparkling sea and look at the white sand that is like powder and has so much silica in it it squeaks when you walk on it. And look at the absence of people!
