Better luck next time

I had this great idea for a long exposure picture where my son would stand in the window posing like Peter Pan and I would get long star trails above the house.

It was too dark to compose the picture looking through the view finder so I took a quick picture at ISO 6400.  During that 20 second exposure, a helicopter flew by leaving a light trail that looked like a falling star.

My attempt at the real picture however didn't turn out so good.  After the 20 minutes exposure, it looked kind of blah...

So today's blip came from my initial test to see if I had it composed correctly :)
