Is it a duck ... or a fruit?

Well these two are definitely ducks. When it comes to waterfowl, you can't get much more showy than a Mandarin duck. Every ornamental lake has to have some and the escapees are now so common you get to see them everywhere. But I don't think they are a problem for other ducks, unlike the dreaded Ruddy duck. Richmond park has lots of them and here, found in the Pen ponds.
