Patterns in nature

Quick blip today as I have been on a course all day doing my coastal skipper. It is very hard and I'm not very clever but heigh ho!
Nice to able to walk the dogs at 5 pm in the light and I was drawn to the textures in this broken branch from a massive oak tree.
