I miss Blip!
Once again feel free to hear a barrage of excuses for my lack of blips. Between College, visiting my girlfriend at Uni, flying to different continents for work and moving to a house (Albeit for 4 months) It's been a busy one.
First up, the new ARX-04b Coupe has taken up a lot of time recently for us guys in the composite shop. A lot of all nighters, last minutes and what, that eventually ended in me chasing the Car all the way to Daytona to make sure both of them started the 24hr race. They did, but they didn't finish. Either way we were pretty happy with the performance considering the lack of testing.
Secondly, due to the amount of mileage I appear to be doing at the moment I decided the Mazda (as much as I loved it) was a little uncomfortable and not really practical enough for eating miles. So I did the most sensible thing I could, and got a 3.0 Litre Straight Six coupe with 135k on the clock. So far, its been fantastic. It makes a great noise, goes pretty well and has a lot of torque in a useable place (at about 70mph you can floor it and you're getting a ban almost instantly). And, since fuel is cheaper than it has been for my entire driving life, I can live with the 30mpg(ish) it gets.
Finally, the move. Due to the joys of living with parents, when they move, I don't really have much choice in the matter. Fortunately, my dad picked one of the nice new houses up at Upper Heyford. Less fortunately, it isn't finished. So between regular trips up and down the A34 to Bournemouth or Newbury, along with the long days (and weekends) at work I've been moving to a little 2 bed place in Kingsmere. The land of unfinished roads, and phonelines it seems. Feel free to google kingsmere on the "news" section of Google to hear others rant about that as I fear I've gone on for way too long as it is.
Do not fear, I shall try and rectify this lack of blipping once things start to die down....
