Gazebo in the Snow

We awoke this morning to a sunny winter wonderland.  It provides some consolation for having to return from sunny Southern California to bone-chilling, below freezing temperatures.  About 6 inches of snow fell here, which by some standards is next to nothing, but in DC it brings everything to a halt.  The Federal Government, the schools and my husband’s office were closed.  For years, when it snowed, I had to go to the hospital no matter what the snow conditions,  so today we felt like gleeful kids having our very own snow day.   In addition, wWe got a chance to give the new snowblower a spin and it worked beautifully.  We had the driveway and front walk done in less than 20 minutes.
