Chateau l'Bungle

We chunnelled to Paris from London at lunch time today, and then got a train out west to Helen and Bungle's (Uni nickname) residence.

It was a misty day so from the bottom of the drive way we couldn't see the house - the length of the tree lined approach surprised us enough though. When the full glory of the house and stables did come into view we were more then a little impressed!

The house fell into disrepair after the French Revolution and has recently been split into rather glamorous holiday homes, of which our friends have bought one in the stables quarter as their permanent residence. Not a bad abode at all!
