Fairfield Horseshoe

Mrs Wild let me loose for the day on my own on the hills.  However, being half term and one of the most popular fell top circuits you are never alone.  the conditions were a bit challenging on the very top with a strong wind and icy summit.  All bundled up against the elements the usual hillwalkers hello ends up as a wave of recognition.  Found a great out of the wind spot for a late lunch on Great Rigg(summit right hand of shot) and had a Raven for company picking up my sandwich crusts.  A reviving pot of tea was had at Rydal Mount Tea shop (recommended) and was back home in time for tea.   Got the bathroom ready for the plumber to fit our new heated towel rail.  Relaxing bath and now to bed.
