Posing Heron

Another shot taken down by the riverside in Richmond, as it's so photogenic down there when the sun shines on an evening. The place was heaving with sunbathers, picnickers and lager drinkers. There's always lots of waterfowl wandering around, usually ducks, geese and a pair of swans - and this heron, who strolls around very close to the humans and obliges when people whip out their cameras by standing stock-still until they've finished taking their photos. Very strange to watch...
