Twite

Twite are small finches - their Welsh name- Llinos y Mynydd - means 'Linnet of the Mountain' and a flock winters at Connah's Quay nature reserve each year. There are curently over 100 there and we are trying to ring some to discover where they come from - this one already had both a metal ring and colour ring on, so we are waiting to discover where it originated. Possibilities are Snowdonia or western Scotland.
