Garlands was one of two Liverpool night clubs raided by the police last week and closed down as a result of what is alleged to have been pretty open class A drug dealing. They were back in court this afternoon fighting the police's demand for a 3 month closure order. Lots of support outside the Magistrates' Court, but in the end, to no avail as the District Judge made the closure order as requested. I'd been following the Echo's live feed of proceedings on and off during the course of the afternoon, but I'd probably better bite my lip (at least in public) rather than say what I thought of the way they were conducted.

Although, I can't help feeling there were better targets for the police.
