Belted Galloways at Birdlip.

Today I set off early to complete some work in Cheltenham. As the journey progressed the day became more beautiful, it was a clear blue sky with bright sunshine. On the way back to the office I paused at one of my favourite spots, Birdlip Hill. As I approached the car park, there was a sign warning that there may be cows in the car park. There were several, they had a marvelous woolly coat and a very distinctive 'Belt' around their middle. They are a breed that originated in the Galloway region of Scotland and were very impressive. Shortly after I stopped, the farmer arrived and gave them some food, these two were having a bit of an argument over the food!
