Big Jim

Tonight was the penultimate talk from the leaders of Scotland's political parties, and on the platform was Jim Murphy, the leader of the Labour Party in these parts. Or what will be left of it after May's election, when they are predicted to lose their seats by the bucketload. The man himself put in a good performance, which was surprisingly well received by the audience of naturally conservative-leaning bankers, lawyers and accountants. Possibly because he wasn't nearly as ribald as Liz Lochhead yesterday.

For the avoidance of doubt, it's not Jim Murphy in the photo. And my lawyer would like me to point out that whoever he is, it's probably just tobacco that he's smoking.
