A Touch of Color
... in the kitchen.
I'm a bit embarrassed, it seems like everything I'm uploading to my journal lately is an emergency blip, though in my defense things have been a bit ...well ... busy, moving from the apartment to our new home.
Today was typical. It started with a trip to FDMV and the tax office to change addresses on our licenses, vehicle registration, voter registration, and file a homestead application. The next stop was the apartment to pick up another car load of stuff. At home we moved furniture around, made phone calls, had neighbors over, brought some folks over to the apartment to show them some of the furniture we're selling, then ran a bunch of errands. Whew ...
The pic is of a small carnation sitting in a glass on the ledge of our kitchen window, a corsage Connie received at a social for new residents. What can I say it was too late to go out, the color caught my eye, the camera was close at hand ... and the adventure continues.
PS - Thanks for all the comments, concern, and encouragement you've been sending our way the last couple of weeks. It's much appreciated and what makes this place quite so special.
