Wellington's cone

This is a photo of Wellington with his habitual head gear. Us Glaswegians love to poke fun at authority and students have been placing a traffic cone on this statue of Wellington in Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow for years. Last year the council decided enough was enough and stated that they were going to make it impossible to replace the cone on his head. Well, the Facebook page that was set up soon made them change their minds and so Wellington gets to keep his 'hat'!
