Little Owl

Today I went to see J - my Bird Care mentor. The season is getting better with most baby birds grown up and flown the nest gone......This little fellow is an adult but has a damaged wing.We are hoping there is not permanent damage. It is happy and eating well.
The little owl (Athene noctua) is a bird that inhabits much of the temperate and warmer parts of Europe, Asia east to Korea, and north Africa. It is not native to Great Britain. It was also successfully introduced to the South Island of New Zealand in the early 20th century.
