'Amphlett Lane'

Yesterday, Melbourne's Lord Mayor Robert Doyle officially unveiled 'Amphlett Lane' in honour of the fabulous Chrissie Amphlett, lead singer from the Divinyls who sadly lost her battle with breast Cancer back in 2013.

It's not too far from our already famous AC/DC Lane also, and today happens to be the 35th Anniversary of the legendary AC/DC front man Bon Scotts passing too.

It makes me really proud to be a Melbournian when we honour our greats in this way. The Divinyls and AC/DC were both huge parts of my teenage years and continue to inspire me. I remember going to watch the Divinyls play a gig at the Manhattan Hotel back in the late 80's when they had the rotating dance floor, a smoke filled room with a sticky floor from all the spilt drinks, ah those were the days.
