The Bachelor

My mom and I are always looking for something good to watch on television.  A few years ago we started watching a show called The Bachelor/The Bachelorette on ABC.  At first we thought the show was silly and unrealistic, but then after watching a whole season from start to finish we realized that it wasn’t so bad.  The purpose of the show is for “The Bachelor” or “The Bachelorette” to fall in love with someone.  Each bachelor gets to pick from between 25 and 30 women, and each bachelorette can choose from between 25 and 30 men.  This season there is a bachelor.  On the first night of the show each of the women exit the limo and have to do their best to make a good first impression.  While this happens, my mom and I write down the ones we like and the ones we don’t like, and then at the end of the season we go back and see if we are right with who he picks.  After he greets all of the women he gets to go inside and talk to them.  The bachelor hands out roses to the women he wants to stay on the show.  If you don’t get a rose, you have to go home.  At the end of each show there is a big rose ceremony.  This season seems like it is going to be a good one, and I can’t wait to see who he picks in the end.
