"Perce Neige"

This flower in English is "Snowdrop" but I find the French name so much more evocative: literally "force through the snow".  No snow in Paris this year, but there is something so strong in its fragility, and courageous, in this flower that blooms just when we're starting to get fed up with the cold and grey of winter.  And it was a beautiful sunny day - so wonderful to see the blue skies!

Every year I look forward to seeing this small flowers remind us that spring WILL come!
