Rosehaugh Estate

The dogs are standing infront of the original wine cellars for the old house/mansion. A bit more impressive than my drinks trolley that spends more time empty than full!

We had such a lovely afternoon visiting a friend who lives in what was the original dairy. It was fascinating, her husband loves wood and has filled the old milking parlour with the most beautiful planks of wood, old burr walnut the bark still covered in dried lichen, elm and birch. Heart shape off cuts, planks sanded down for making work tops and piles and piles of neatly ordered firewood. His workbench faces out to the most amazing view. I feel he leads a very contented life.
