The mission was to fit enough fishing gear, clothing and miscellaneous into 35kg so as not to incur the legendary Ryanair baggage charges.

I think I've nailed it.

One rod (9ft AFTM 6/7), one reel plus fly line (WF-6-F), waders, wading boots, hat x 2, Buff (an item that becomes more essential every time I use it), one flyfishing waistcoat containing; three fly boxes and roughly 300 flies, floatant, sinkant, degreaser, 12 leaders, eight tippet types, Swiss Army knife, hunting knife, bow-net, necklace with disgorger-clipper-scissor-priest and marrow spoon;

Three lightweight shirts, two pairs of walking trousers, one set baselayers. Socks x4, grundies x4, polaroids x2, first-aid kit, washbag plus sunscreen, insect repellent;

Camera, charger, batteries, headtorch;

Travel wallet (passport, EHIC, insurance, drivers license);

Wallet, cash, keys, mobile.
