coal tit in the hedge
Many birds seem to be looking for nest-building material and I think this is what this coal tit was doing in the hedge opposite the house. This was taken through a double-glazed window so not as sharp as it should be. We spotted 2 Magpies taking twigs to the tree at the back of the house so presumably there is some nest-building going on there, too. It's that time of year again - lovely to see the early signs of spring, even though the weather is wet and windy and pretty cold.
