Patchy Thursday

Today was an oxymoron of a day starting with a flurry of emails and twitter activity for my new client followed by a chilled escape from the laptop for coffee with friends at the village tea rooms.

A brisk 2 mile walk along the North Downs Way was equally contradictory with the tranquility of the countryside coupled with the chitter chatter of gulls swooping in the freshly ploughed field looking for fresh worms, while in the distance the steady humming of lorries driving along the A road.

Intermittent broadband, due to an apparently nationwide BT router issue (groan), coupled with the break in email interruption caused stress yet peace to concentrate in equal measure.

This afternoon a visit to a friend for great coffee and conversation was made all the more enjoyable by Patch the kitten who rather obediently posed for a photograph.

After a quiet evening working on new client projects I'm ever hopeful for secure broadband tomorrow but no matter what I'll be seeking out more coffee to keep me sane!
