The first sod has been turned

Yes, less than a week from this the bull dozer came in this afternoon and started removing the top soil down to clay for the preparation of the pad .... exciting. We live in amongst those trees on the right behind that cream fence , but when we are in our new house, we will be able to enjoy the views through the valley to the sea, looks a long way but is not at all. The sun was just setting as I took this, the long shadows are the giveaway.

I had other ideas for my blip today, but since this is a momumentous ocassion this really needed to be recorded.

And, looking out to the west there are the most incredible sunset colours ever seen....its either a feast of a famine!

We have enjoyed the most fantastic warm day, it has been a pleasure to be outside. We have been clearing sheds, sorting fencing equipment and generally moving/sorting farming stuff. Both of us are feeling bugged, but it has been a good day.
