Vandalism!

I was really saddened when I went into Bolton today as at least a dozen trees have been cut down.  There is no explanation for these trees, on the Town Hall square itself (the building on the left is the Town Hall) but those in Newport Street are supposed to be part of a regeneration plan.  Part of this plan has seen the  much-loved canopy that was used by lots of different charities knocked down and now lots of trees.  As someone pointed out in the comments most European-style boulevards are tree lined so I can but hope more trees will be planted.  The article mentions 5 trees - a lot more have been removed.
