Those aren't mine!

I'm starting to learn a bit of Italian with the Duolingo app, and it's quite addictive! Although some of the sentences it gives you are a bit strange, and I found this one quite amusing!
I wonder if it's based on a argument one of the Duolingo creators had in real life...?
I later remembered that it uses American English most of the time though, so it's not as funny when you realise they're talking about trousers!
