Tonight we reach Mount Doom

For the last few weeks, the bedtime story for the boys (and R, who also likes to listen in - she's always asking me for news of Gandalf) has been The Lord of the Rings.

But I'm not reading the book, I'm telling it from memory (not always easy, I often have to check the book beforehand).

On Tuesday, we did a live interpretation of Eowyn and Merry taking on the Nazguul king, over the dying body of King Theoden trapped under his own horse.

I was Theoden, R was the horse, C was the Witch King, G was Merry and MF was the mysterious knight who turns out to be Eowyn. Real good fun!

Tonight, we are reaching the end... Frodo (iPhone autocorrect just changed Frodo into Deodorant, for some reason!) and Sam have begun their ascension of Mount Doom, while their friends are in trouble at the Morannon (which isn't the name of a Pub by the way, for all you philistines out there).
