An old blade
Falling back on a macro today, but I was quite pleased when I came across the subject :) It's my father's old penknife, which he used for many years in the garden (and any other place where it came in handy). (Even in the pre-9/11 days, he was once stopped at airport security when he'd accidentally left it in the pocket of his jacket! I think on that occasion it was sent with the flight crew, and handed back to him on landing - not the sort of treatment you'd get these days...)
I found it in a drawer here, and it was only as I was shooting it that I realised that the background I'd chosen to lay it on was actually my grandmother's old tray. So two heirlooms featured in one blip! :)
