Made it to Friday!

Don't know why, but this was a particularly tiring week.  Lots of stress at work, probably still k******ed from having the grandchildren last week, plus G has been having a hard time at work too.

The man from City Blinds came this morning, and in a skirl of electric drill and a chat of conversation about our dogs, quickly put up my new blinds.  New venetians in the livingroom, and rollers on the windows at top and bottom of staircase, and a replacement for the old bathroom one.  All lovely and fresh and bright.

Then I hopped into town and took Mum for a wee potter around BM's, a quick shop in Morrison's and a cup of coffee in the café, picked up a prescription at the nearby chemist and then we headed back to her place.  We played one of our favourite games; 'What I would do to my house if I won the Lottery'.  It's a great game - you get to knock down walls, build chimneys, erect conservatories and extensions, and all without planning permission!

Now I'm home.  Tea was chicken kievs and salad, G has just gone to visit a friend, and I am settling down for a Friday night of indulgence: wine, chocolate and a DVD. 

Hah ........ does it get any better than this?
