Cinema

This evening I finally got to see 'Into the Woods'. It only came out yesterday in Switzerland. I don't think there are many Sondheim fans in Basel as the cinema was pretty bare.

I've known about the musical for a while but I only really got to know the material in the last few months or so. My first hearing of a song from the show was a parody in Forbidden Broadway! I like stories that flip familiar material on their head so this retelling of several fairytales was right up my street. I do fear the main theme is not going to leave my head for some time though! I was literally bobbing home from the cinema.
