What a surprise!

While inspecting the yard I found this morning a little plum tree
in the old orchard in full bloom, that's 4 weeks early. It looked as if it was wearing a wedding dress and lots of insects were buzzing around it. Surprisingly, or maybe not, there were no bees. Rather different kinds of little and bigger flies. The occasional bumble bee that was on the blooms was rather stiff as it has been freezing during the night. When I came back with the camera it had disappeared and left only the blooms with thousands of little dew drops for me and my photographic efforts...
