Take Two

Olivia was more determined than ever after school today to go to the second day of auditions. We tried to discourage her as we feared it would be too much for her as she was auditioning against high school students. She told us that her classmates had been giving her words of encouragement such as 'imagine the audience isn't there' and 'just enjoy yourself.'
Myself and hubby were pretty nervous when she got up on stage, especially as there were a lot of students, teachers and parents watching and we had no idea how she would react/perform.
She sang Firework by Katy Perry and nailed it. Neil welled up and I had a lump in my throat. Olivia impressed us so much today with her sheer determination and talent. We were particularly emotional anyway as we'd just come from a difficult meeting with a group of her teachers which I may write more about one day.
Olivia you are an extraordinary little girl and you light up our lives every day.
