The creek froze last night!!

It was so cold last night, the creek froze!  For here that is cold and the wind chill adds insult to injury.  

The cats' drinking fountain was truly frozen too and when I removed the ice and added some hot water, Spirit was right there to have a drink.  While I brought the trash can (dust bin) in, Peace & Spirit supervised me.  They like to watch over all that I do.  Here is Spirit watching me through the kitchen window.

The birds were perched waiting in the crepe myrtles for a free spot at the feeder!  Among other birds, lots of finches at the feeder again today.
