Finishing Touches

'Challenge Wanaka' is being held tomorrow 22nd February, and all systems are 'go' for a huge sporting day.  The road is closed, and the organisers have put up this foot bridge, which the swimmers will run over, (when they have finished their swim and heading for their cycles), while the cyclists ride underneath heading out for their 180k bike ride..  I am sure I won't be able to get a photo here tomorrow, as this scene will be packed with spectators, (me included). 

The race starts at 7 a.m. with the swim, (I'll be there), and the cut off point for the swim is 9.30 a.m. and the marathon finishes at 11.30 p.m. with fireworks to celebrate.  I am pretty sure I won't be there!!
