Wonder what....

.........this building was.
I had to pop into a larger market town near me for some cough medicine. I have either driven round or through this town most weeks, sometimes most days for the last 4 years. I have parked in the centre, but today there was a market so i parked on the outskirts near the race course and walked in. I found a path that cut through and came upon this building. next to it i read a tourist sign which explained that the expanse of grass, had at one time in history, been a castle.
Home now with the medicine and going to light my fire for the first time as the snow word is in the forecast for tonight...brrr
