the real long mynd

today tim and i took a four hour hike across the beautiful long mynd. glorious sunshine the whole way round, aside from a brief flurry of snow at the top. perfect. such stunning views, right on our doorstep.

feeling even more smug about our early start this morning when the pub stopped serving food just as we shoved the last few chips in our mouths as people were ushered away and then it started raining as we left the pub.

to end the day: this perfectly poached egg on sweet potato, apple and red onion loveliness.

delightful.
